Dear Sir,
Last Friday I have been robbed in the Robbinson Mall Malati, a group of teenagers surrounded me and a small child in the middle
Got my wallet with all my things in a split second, immediately everybody disappeared when I checked my pockets and noticed
The wallet was missing.
I had 700 euro cash, a bpi savings card, 2 dutch bank passes and 2 credit cards, abnamro and rabo bank, beside this my driving license
And many more personal things like contract sim cards etc.., my most terrible experience in the Philippines up to now.
We immediately went to a security person within the mall and went to the nearest police station near Roxas Boulevard, from there
I called my interpay in Amsterdam and my girlfriend called immediately BPI number 89100 to block the cards, it was hard for her to
Get through to the hotline, message number is invalid but after 5 minutes it worked and we informed the BPI employee and they
Blocked the card, interpay in Amsterdam could be reached within a few seconds and blocked the dutch cards.
From this local police station we went to police station 5 were a report was made and filed, when this was done we went back to the
The head of the Robinsons security and made a report, I criticized their way of working as they did not do any investigation on the place
Of the robbery, just sat behind their desk and gave us some photo books with known criminals, we could not recognize anybody and we asked
Or they could ask shop owners around the place of robbery whether they had seen anything but they did not do this.
I also asked for the closed CCTV system but this was on a secret location according to them and nothing was done with this, we heard also from
Other people that this system is not working at all.
Dear Sir,
We have been robbed inside the Robinsons Mall Malate and tried to mail their customer service but no answer from them at all.
Only BPI is helping us and is doing at least something to find these gangs.
Can you warn people on your radio program that this mall is not offering the safety one expects to have seeing the security system,
I come here for many years and walk all through Manila but this first time I have been robbed in a Mall, so called “safe heaven”.
Underneath I paste all documents related to this robbery and in attachments you find the police report.
We will be in manila on Monday and Tuesday.
Thank you for your attention and kind regards Josie & Koos.
We send mail pasted underneath to : 'customer.care@robinsonsland.com' no reaction!!!!!!
Hello,
My apologizes as I forwarded my mail with BPI to you without any further explanation.
I have been robbed in your mall and nobody seems to do anything at all, we believed to be on secure ground
When we entered the Robinsons Mall but the security is just to give people the idea they are safe but are in fact
Not at all.
Your mall employs many security people but they cant stand up to the task one expects from a security service.
Ten seconds after we were robbed by teenagers and children we went to the nearest security employee, the only
Thing he did was “bringing us to the nearest police station” and left again once we were there.
No further instructions for example to go back to the security from the mall and explain the whole robbery in detail
With your security officer.
After making a full report we went back to the mall ourselves and spoke with the head of your security, he only showed us
Some picture books and made a very simple form, that’s was all.
I asked to go to the place of the robbery and ask shop owners around the incident or they might have seen anything but he said
“ your girlfriend did not see anything so also not the shop owners” have these people ever had any proper training????
They just sit behind their desks and that’s it, crimes will never be solved this way and these people give the green light to
People who use your mall as a crime scene to rob more and more people in your mall.
I asked to see your cctv system but this was on a secret location but we heard that this system is out of order and I believe so
When I see the wiring behind some of your cameras in the mall, some wires have been repaired several times and this does
Not give me any confidence of a proper working system.
We were robbed in your mall but we never received any phone call from Robinsons, nobody takes any action in this country,
There is a very reluctant attitude in this country, just don’t do anything and time will solve all problems.
But believe me , this attitude will not pay off this time in your advantage as I will inform radio , tv channels, newspapers and I will
Publish a website about this whole robbery and how its been taken care of by the involved authorities, you want like this in the
End but just look in the mirror and blame yourself for being so naïve and reluctant in matters like this.
I hope the message came through to all of you, you can call me on 09158539476.
Please give me the e-mail address of the Chinese owner of Robinsons asap.
Kind regards : Jacobus Mulder.
Dear Maya,
We need asap the video recordings from the ATM machines.
What do you mean with valid??? No pay back?????(1)
My girlfriend tried to call BPI asap after theft but could not get through to one of the BPI employees(2), you can ask the police.
However interpay in Amsterdam could be reached within seconds.
We never made a withdrawal that day so nobody could have seen our pin and this pin was not in my wallet(8).
What is your further action in this matter(3), please forward me the email address of BPI dprtmnt which is continuing the investigation
In order to find the thieves, I want to be updated about the investigation(4), the thieves have much more of my personal belongings and
The videos (5)are very important.
I am stuck now in Puerto as I have no more access to my accounts in Holland, don’t know what to do, I have 7000 pesos left in the account.
What about my new card (6)and why the bank in Puerto never calls us (7)while they had promised this??????
Many question and issues, please answer them as numbered above one by one in your next mail.
Kind regfards : Koos Mulder.

Thank you for choosing to bank with us online!
Sincerely,
During the weekend we went on line to check our BPI account and we could see that 16000 pesos were missing on the BPI account, we called
Again the hotline and they said it was withdrawn over the counter, 4x4000 pesos, but it was a holiday and all banks were closed, on line we could
Not yet see how they got this money, our pin code was not in the wallet, how could they do this?????>
My dutch bank card has the same pin code and according interpay Holland, the thieves tried many times to get money from this cards but used
Wrong pin code, how is this possible?????They did not get any money from my Dutch cards.
Monday I contacted my BPI branche in Puerto Princesa and informed them what happened, they also could tell us now that the 4x4000 pesos
Were withdrawn from ATM machines, I asked them to check immediately the camera’s on these ATM machines and forward the videos to
The police at station 5 in Manila, they promised us to keep us informed and call us back but up to now we are the ones who have to phone
The bank, they did not call us at all.
The hotline told us that we could collect the new card on Tuesday but BPI Puerto told us that we have to wait another 3 days, we really don’t know it anymore.
We are now without any money and borrowed some money from friends, I cannot transfer through internet banking from Holland as with our system
I need my bank card, card reader , pincode and lap top, but this card was among the stolen cards.
I hope you understand we are completely sick and confused about this whole situation.
I know I am insured with BPI against the 4x4000 pesos which have been withdrawn by the criminals and must be done within minutes after the robbery.
Please give me the email address from the director OF BPI Philippines and other departments of BPI concerning stolen bank cards.
You may also forwards this e-mail.
